The slag box is reasonably designed and usually equipped with a cleaning port or cleaning equipment to facilitate regular cleaning and maintenance of the slag box.

Slag bins are usually equipped with safety protection devices, such as protective nets, safety doors, etc., to ensure the safety of personnel during cleaning and maintenance operations.
